حدثنا يحيى بن منصور القاضي، حدثنا أبو بكر محمد بن محمد بن رجاء، حدثنا إبراهيم بن المنذر الحِزَامي، حدثنا يحيى بن سُليم، عن جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن عبد الله بن جعفر، قال: وَلِيَنا أبو بكر فكان خيرَ خَليفةِ الله، وأرحمَه بنا، وأحْنَاه علينا (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with them both); he said: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) became our ruler, and he proved to be the best successor (khalifah) of Allah, the most merciful to us and the most tender towards us.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) in its chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 4519

حدثنا علي بن حَمْشَاذَ العَدْل، حدثنا عمر بن حفص السَّدُوسي، حدثنا عاصم بن علي، حدثنا سليمان بن المغيرة عن ثابت عن أنس، قال: طُفْنا بغُرفةٍ فيها أبو بكر حين أصابَه وَجَعُه الذي قُبض فيه، فاطّلع علينا اطِّلاعةً، فقال: أليس تَرضَون بما أصنَعُ؟ قلنا: بلى يا خليفةَ رسولِ الله (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: We were going around the upper room in which Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was staying during the illness in which he passed away. He looked out at us and asked: "Are you pleased with the decision I have made?" We said: "Yes, O Successor of the Messenger of Allah!"
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
