Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 952

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the killing of the two black ones during the prayer: the snake and the scorpion.
This hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it. Damdam bin Jaws is among the trustworthy narrators of al-Yamamah, and Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal also declared him trustworthy.
