أخبرنا الأستاذ أبو الوليد، حدثنا الحسن بن سفيان، حدثنا محمد بن أبي بكر، حدثنا أبو قُتَيبة، حدثنا فَرقد بن الحجَّاج أبو نَصْر، حدثنا عُقبة بن أبي الحَسْناء، عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "لو أُخِذَ سبعُ خَلِفاتٍ بِشُحومِهنَّ فَأُلقِينَ من شَفيرِ جهنَّم، ما انتهين إلى آخرها سبعين عامًا" (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If seven pregnant she-camels, together with their fat, were taken and thrown down from the edge of Hell, they would not reach its bottom even in seventy years."

(2) حديث صحيح بطرقه وشواهده، وهذا إسناد فيه لين من جهة عقبة بن أبي الحسناء، فقد تفرَّد بالرواية عنه فرقد، وفرقد ليس بذاك القوي، وقد سلف الكلام على هذا الإسناد عند الحديث السالف برقم (8982) حيث رواه المصنف هناك من وجه آخر عن أبي هريرة.
Grading: (2) This hadith is sahih by virtue of its (other) routes and supporting reports, but this chain has some softness (lin) on account of 'Uqbah bin Abi al-Hasna'. Farqad is alone in narrating from him, and Farqad is not that strong.
Reference / Source: The discussion of this chain has passed under the earlier hadith number (8982), where the author narrated it by another route from Abu Hurayrah.
محمد بن أبي بكر: هو المقدَّمي، وأبو قتيبة: هو سَلم بن قتيبة الخراساني.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Muhammad bin Abi Bakr is "al-Muqaddami", and Abu Qutaybah is "Salm bin Qutaybah al-Khurasani".
