It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Qays (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the people of Hell will weep so much that if ships were sailed in their tears, they would float, and they will weep blood in place of tears."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) Its narrators are trustworthy, but it is "munqati'" (disconnected) between Sallam bin Miskin and Abu Burdah; between them in it is Qatadah (whose hearing from Abu Burdah is not established). Moreover, there is disagreement over whether it is marfu' or mawquf. Reference / Source: Yazid bin Harun narrated it with Ibn Abi Shaybah 13/ 156 and with Abu Nu'aym in "Hilyat al-Awliya'" 1/ 261, from Sallam bin Miskin, from Qatadah, from Abu Burdah, who is Ibn Abi Musa, from his father Abu Musa 'Abd Allah bin Qays al-Ash'ari, as "mawquf", as his own saying. Technical note / Defect ('illah): About Qatadah, Ibn Ma'in said: "I do not know that he heard from Abu Burdah." Ishaq bin Mansur reported this from him, as is found in al-'Ala'i's "Jami' al-Tahsil". 3/ 98. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: It is supported (as a shahid) by the marfu' hadith of Anas with similar wording in Ibn Majah (4324), but its chain is "da'if" (weak) because of the weakness of its narrator from Anas, Yazid bin Aban al-Raqashi. Technical note / Defect ('illah): One of the aspects of his weakness in hadith is that he used to turn the words of al-Hasan al-Basri around and make them (mistakenly) from Anas from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) without realising it; Ibn Hibban said this in "al-Majruhin" 3/ 98.
