It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the disbeliever will be made to stand for fifty thousand years, because he did no (good) deed in the world, and he will think that he is about to fall into it (Hell)."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (6) In manuscript (M) it reads "الكافر".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (1) In the manuscripts it reads "مدافعته", which is an error; the correct reading is what we have established from the sources of the takhrij, and the statement is about Jahannam, as is stated explicitly in sources other than the author (al-Hakim).
(7352). Grading: (2) Its chain is weak. Technical note / Defect ('illah): The reason is the weakness of Darraj's narration from Abu al-Haytham; moreover, Darraj was also inconsistent (idtirab) in it: once he narrated it from Abu al-Haytham from Abu Sa'id, and another time from Ibn Hujayrah from Abu Hurayrah, as occurs with Ibn Hibban in his "Sahih" (7352). Reference / Source: As for this hadith of Abu Sa'id, Ahmad 18/ (11714) narrated it by way of Ibn Lahi'ah, from Darraj, with this chain. Note / Clarification: Al-Sindi said in his marginal notes on the "Musnad Ahmad": His saying "يُنْصَبُ لِلْكَافِرِ" means: the Day of Resurrection will be made this long for him. Note / Clarification: His saying "كَمَا لَمْ يَعْمَلْ" means: because he did not do good in the world (hence this punishment); the "kaf" here is for giving the reason (ta'lil). Note / Clarification: His saying "مُوَاقَعَتُهُ" means: it (the Fire) seizes him with dominance and force.
