حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا بَحْر بن نَصْر، حدثنا عبد الله ابن وهب، أخبرني عمرو بن الحارث، عن دَرَّاج، عن أبي الهيثم، عن أبي سعيد، عن رسول الله ﷺ قال: "ويلٌ وادٍ في جهنَّم، يَهوِي فيه الكافرُ أربعين خريفًا قبل أن يَبْلُغَ قعرَه، والصَّعُودُ جبلٌ في النار (1) يتصعَّد فيه سبعين خريفًا، يَهوي (2) منه كذلك أبدًا" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wayl is a valley in Hell into which the disbeliever will keep falling for forty years before reaching its bottom. And Sa'ud is a mountain of Hell; he will climb it for seventy years and in the same way will keep falling from it forever."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(1) في النسخ الخطية: في الخلد، والمثبت من المطبوع، وهو الصواب، وهو كذلك فيما تقدم برقم (3915).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (1) In the manuscripts it reads "في الخلد"; what we have established is from the printed edition, and it is correct, and it passed likewise at number (3915).
(2) تحرَّف في النسخ الخطية إلى: يهدوي.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (2) In the manuscripts this has been corrupted into "يهدوي".
(3) إسناده ضعيف لضعف رواية دراج عن أبي الهيثم. وقد سلف برقم (3915).
Grading: (3) Its chain is weak.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The reason is the weakness of Darraj's narration from Abu al-Haytham. It has already passed at number (3915).
