أخبرنا أحمد بن عثمان بن يحيى المقرئ ببغداد، حدثنا جعفر بن محمد بن شاكر، حدثنا يعلى بن عُبيد، عن محمد بن إسحاق، عن يحيى بن عبّاد بن عبد الله بن الزُّبير، عن أبيه، عن عبد الله بن الزُّبير، عن عائشة قالت: لما نَزَلَت هذه الآية في المزَّمِّل: ﴿وَذَرْنِي وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُولِي النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا (11) إِنَّ لَدَيْنَا أَنْكَالًا وَجَحِيمًا﴾ الآية، لم يكن إلَّا يسيرًا حتى كانت وقعةُ بَدر (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: "When this verse of Surah al-Muzzammil was revealed: 'And leave Me with the deniers, the people of ease and luxury, and give them respite for a little while. Indeed, with Us are heavy shackles and a blazing Fire.' [Surah al-Muzzammil: 11-12], only a short time later the Battle of Badr took place."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(2) إسناده حسن من أجل محمد بن إسحاق، وقد صرَّح بالسماع عند غير المصنف. وقد انفرد يعلى بن عبيد الطنافسي بذكر عبد الله بن الزُّبير في إسناده.
Grading: (2) Its chain is hasan on account of Muhammad bin Ishaq, and he has explicitly stated hearing (the hadith) in sources other than the author (al-Hakim).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ya'la bin 'Ubayd al-Tanafisi is alone in mentioning 'Abd Allah bin al-Zubayr in its chain.
وخالفه إسماعيل ابن عليّة عند الطبري في "تفسيره" 29/ 134، وعبد الأعلى بن عبد الأعلى عند أبي يعلى (4578)، ويونس بن بكير عند البيهقي في "الشعب" 3/ 95 - 96، فرواه ثلاثتهم عن ابن إسحاق بهذا الإسناد - دون واسطة عبد الله بن الزُّبير بين ابنه عبّاد وعائشة، وهو المحفوظ إن شاء الله ورواية يعلى بن عبيد شاذَّة، وعباد قد سمع من خالة أبيه عائشة معروفٌ بالرواية عنها.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: He was contradicted by Isma'il Ibn 'Ulayyah in al-Tabari's "Tafsir" 29/ 134, by 'Abd al-A'la bin 'Abd al-A'la with Abu Ya'la (4578), and by Yunus bin Bukayr in al-Bayhaqi's "al-Shu'ab" 3/ 95-96; all three of them narrated it from Ibn Ishaq with this chain, but without the intermediary 'Abd Allah bin al-Zubayr between his son 'Abbad and 'A'ishah, and this, if Allah wills, is the "mahfuz" (preserved) version. The narration of Ya'la bin 'Ubayd is "shadh", while 'Abbad heard from his father's maternal aunt 'A'ishah and is well known for narrating from her.
