It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "This fire of yours (of the world) is one part of seventy parts of the fire of Hell. Had it not been quenched in water twice, you would not have been able to benefit from it. And by Allah! Even though this (former state) alone would have been sufficient, it still supplicates to Allah and seeks His refuge that He never return it into that (fire of Hell)."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it with this wording.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
(804). Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts the (name) is distorted into "Husayn"; the correction is from "Talkhis al-Dhahabi" and "Ithaf al-Maharah" (804).
Grading: Its chain is "very weak" (da'if jiddan) and "musalsal bi al-du'afa'" (a continuous series of weak narrators): Muhammad bin Mandah, his shaykh Bakr, and his shaykh Jisr bin Farqad; the weakest of them is "Jisr". Al-Dhahabi declared him wahin (extremely feeble) in his "Talkhis". Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Hasan (mentioned in the chain) is "al-Basri". Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (4318) recorded it via Isma'il bin Abi Khalid, from Nufay' Abu Dawud al-A'ma, from Anas bin Malik. Grading: This chain is "very weak"; Nufay' al-A'ma is a "matruk" (abandoned) narrator. Important point: The hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) in Musnad Ahmad (12/7327) and Ibn Hibban (7463), with the same wording, makes this (weak) hadith of Anas unnecessary (i.e. it suffices), except that it does not have these words at its end: "And it will supplicate to Allah that He never return it to the Fire." Grading: Its chain (the narration of Abu Hurayrah) is "sahih". Details of the narration: And the core hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) is in al-Bukhari (3265) and Muslim (2843), but without the mention of the fire being extinguished with water twice.
