Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 8944

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the lightest punishment among the people of Hell will be for a man who will be made to wear two shoes of fire, from the heat of which his brain will be boiling on the Day of Resurrection."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. And it has supporting reports from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Bashir and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with them) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with different wordings. As for the hadith of Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him):
