It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "The Day the earth will be changed into another earth" [Surah Ibrahim: 48]; he said: That earth will be white and pure like silver, on which blood will never have been shed and on which no sin will have been committed. The voice of the caller will be heard by all, and the sight will reach them all. People will be barefoot, naked and standing, then the sweat will bridle them (that is, reach up to their mouths).

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This report is sahih. Although 'Abd al-Rahman bin al-Hasan al-Qadi has some weakness, he is not alone in this report, and the narrators above him are thiqah. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Ishaq ('Amr bin 'Abdullah al-Sabi'i) was inconsistent (idtirab) in this hadith, as Shu'bah made clear (via Muhammad bin Ja'far) in Ahmad's "al-'Ilal" (4603) and al-Tabari's "Tafsir" (13/ 249). Shu'bah mentions that Abu Ishaq narrated it sometimes from Hubayrah bin Yarim from Ibn Mas'ud, sometimes from 'Amr bin Maymun from Ibn Mas'ud, and sometimes as the statement of 'Amr bin Maymun himself. Whatever the case, this report is "mahfuz" (preserved) as the statement (mawquf) of Ibn Mas'ud, and it is narrated from him likewise by routes other than that of Abu Ishaq, as will come in the takhrij of the next narration.
