النَّاسُ يُحْشَرُونَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَفْوَاجٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
People will be gathered in three groups on the Day of Resurrection

حدَّثَناه أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الرَّبيع بن سليمان، حدثنا أَسَد ابن موسى، حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة، عن أبي قَزَعة، عن حَكيم بن معاوية، عن أبيه (2) قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ: يقول: "يُحشَرون هاهنا حُفاةً مُشاةً ورُكْبانًا وعلى وجوههم، تُعرَضون على الله على أَفواهِكم الفِدَامُ، وإنَّ أوّل ما يُعرِبُ عن أحدِكم فَخِذُه (3).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "People will be gathered here barefoot, on foot, riding and (dragged) on their faces. You will be presented before Allah with 'al-fidam' (pieces of cloth or seals that prevent speech) upon your mouths, and the first part of any of you to speak on his behalf will be his thigh."

(2) في النسخ الخطية حكيم بن معاوية عن جده عن أبيه، بزيادة "عن جده" وهو خطأه.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The manuscripts have "Hakim bin Mu'awiyah, from his grandfather, from his father"; the addition of "from his grandfather" here is an error.
(3) إسناده حسن من أجل حكيم بن معاوية. وقد سلف برقم (3687) من طريق الحسن بن موسى الأشيب عن حماد بن سلمة.
Grading: Its chain is hasan on account of Hakim bin Mu'awiyah.
Reference / Source: This narration has already appeared under number (3687) via al-Hasan bin Musa al-Ashyab, from Hammad bin Salamah.
