Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 8893

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no morning but two angels call out in it. One of them says: O Allah, give the one who spends a replacement. And the other says: O Allah, bring ruin upon the wealth of the one who withholds. And two angels are appointed over the Trumpet, waiting for when they will be commanded so that they blow the Trumpet. And two angels call out saying: Woe to men because of women, and woe to women because of men."
Kharijah bin Mus'ab is alone in narrating this hadith from Zayd bin Aslam.

Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: It is thus in our manuscripts, except that in the margin of manuscript (M) the words "wa-yaqulu al-akhar" (and the other says) have been added.

Grading: Its chain is very weak (da'if jiddan), because (its narrator) Kharijah bin Mus'ab is "matruk" (abandoned). Al-Dhahabi in "al-Talkhis" declared it defective for this very reason.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Bazzar in his "Musnad" (3424 - Kashf al-Astar) via Waki', from Kharijah bin Mus'ab, with this chain.
Reference / Source: The last part of this hadith has already appeared with the author under hadith number (2705) via Waki'.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Its opening part, concerning the supplication (of the angels) for the one who spends and (against) the one who withholds, is supported by the marfu' hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) with the same wording in al-Bukhari (1442) and Muslim (1010).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Also, the hadith of Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) that has already appeared with the author under number (3703) is a shahid (supporting report) for it.
