It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Night and day will not come to an end until al-Lat and al-Uzza are worshipped (again). Then Allah Almighty will send a pure wind which will take the soul of everyone who has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of a mustard seed. Then only those in whom there is no good will remain, and they will return to the (polytheistic) religion of their forefathers."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(3) تحرَّفت في (ز) و (ك) إلى: بودان، وفي (ب) إلى بوذان، والتصويب من (م). وقنطرة بَرَدان، بالتحريك: محلّة ببغداد. Note / Clarification: In manuscripts (Z) and (K) this was corrupted into 'Bawdan', and in manuscript (B) into 'Bawdhan'; the correction is from manuscript (M). Qantarat 'Baradan' (with fathahs) is a quarter of Baghdad.
(4) تحرَّف في النسخ الخطية هنا إلى: حفص. Note / Clarification: Here in the manuscripts the name was corrupted into 'Hafs'.
(5) هكذا في النسخ، وجمهور أهل اللغة على أنَّ الريح مؤنثة، فالجادّة أن توصف بالتأنيث فيقال: ريح طيبة، لكن قال الفيومي في "المصباح المنير" ص:203: الريح مؤنثة على الأكثر فيقال: هي الرِّيح، وقد تذكَّر على معنى الهواء فيقال: هو الريح، وهبَّ الريح، نقله أبو زيد. Note / Clarification: This is how it is in the manuscripts (in the masculine form), whereas according to the majority of lexicographers 'rih' (wind) is feminine, so the standard usage is to describe it in the feminine, as in: 'rih tayyibah'. But al-Fayyumi said in "al-Misbah al-Munir" (p. 203) that 'rih' is mostly feminine (hiya al-rih), but it is sometimes treated as masculine in the sense of air (al-hawa') (huwa al-rih, habba al-rih), as reported by Abu Zayd.
