It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever hears of the Dajjal should keep away from him (he (peace and blessings be upon him) said this three times), for a man will go to him and, because of the doubts that will be sent with him, will take him to be truthful and will begin to follow him."

Hadith Takhrij«
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, but in the author's (al-Hakim's) narration "Abu al-Dahma'" has dropped out of the chain here. Reference / Source: Whereas Ahmad narrated it in his "Musnad" (33/19968), and Ibn Abi Shaybah (in al-Tabarani's al-Kabir: 18/552), both from Yazid bin Harun, and they mentioned "Abu al-Dahma'" in it. Technical note / Defect ('illah): This indicates the error in the author's narration, (because) it is not known that Humayd bin Hilal ever met 'Imran bin Husayn.
