حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا العباس بن محمد الدُّورِي، حدثنا أبو داود الطَّيالِسي، حدثنا شُعبة، عن سِمَاك بن حَرْب قال: سمعت مالك بن ظالم يحدِّث عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "هلاكُ أمَّتي على يَدَيْ أُغَيلِمةٍ من قُريش" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه لخلاف بين شعبةَ وسفيان الثَّوريِّ فيه:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The destruction of my Ummah will be at the hands of some young boys (immature youths) of Quraysh."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it because of a disagreement between Imam Shu'bah and Sufyan al-Thawri (in its chain).

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد محتمل للتحسين من أجل مالك بن ظالم كما سلف بيانه برقم (8656). أبو داود الطيالسي: هو سليمان بن داود.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain admits the possibility of being graded "hasan" (i.e. it may be hasan) on account of Malik bin Zalim, as was explained under hadith no. (8656).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi is "Sulayman bin Dawud".
وأخرجه أحمد 13/ (7974) عن محمد بن جعفر، و (8347) عن روح بن عبادة، كلاهما عن شعبة، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it in (13/7974) from Muhammad bin Ja'far, and in (8347) from Rawh bin 'Ubadah, both of them from Shu'bah, with this same chain.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain admits the possibility of being graded "hasan" (i.e. it may be hasan) on account of Malik bin Zalim, as was explained under hadith no. (8656).
