Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 8726

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until there remains on the face of the earth no one in whom Allah has any need (that is, any aspect of good), and until a woman is seized in broad daylight, openly, and fornication is committed with her in the very middle of the road, and no one will object to it or change it. The best of them on that day will be the one who says (to the one committing it): 'If only you had moved her a little to one side of the road.' That man will be among them (in rank) like Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) are among you."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Because of Sulayman bin Abi Sulayman (who is Sulayman bin Dawud al-Yamami), this chain is "wahin" (very weak).
Technical note: Al-Dhahabi criticised it in "al-Talkhis" for this very reason and said: "Sulayman is a ruined narrator, and this report is like a fable." I (the researcher) say: with this route and this wording, this report is among the "afrad" (singular reports) of al-Hakim.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: However, Abu Ya'la (6183) narrated something similar by the route of Khalaf bin Khalifah, from Yazid bin Kaysan al-Kufi, from Abu Hazim al-Ashja'i, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, this Ummah will not perish until a man goes to a woman and lays her down in the road (commits zina), and the best of them on that day will be the one who says: If only you had hidden her behind this wall." This chain is, Allah willing, "hasan".
Technical note: The mawquf hadith of 'Abd Allah bin 'Amr (no. 8616) also supports this meaning, in which the words are: "Until they copulate in the roads as beasts copulate, and then the Hour will be established upon them." Its chain is hasan. "Tasafud" means the male mounting the female, and it is used as a euphemism for intercourse. A similar report has also come from him with the word "tanakuh" at no. (8613). And in Ibn Hibban (6767) it is narrated from 'Abd Allah bin 'Amr as "marfu'", with a sahih chain.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Also, the marfu' hadith of al-Nawwas bin Sim'an (may Allah be pleased with him) has already passed at no. (8718), at the end of which is: "And the rest of the people will remain, copulating openly (taharuj) like donkeys, and upon them the Hour will be established." This hadith is in Sahih Muslim (2937). "Taharuj" has the same meaning as "tasafud" (copulating like animals).
Reference / Source: See also the previous hadith of Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), no. (5554), and the upcoming hadith of Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), no. (8803); but both of these reports are "wahin" (very weak).
