Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 8713

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ayyash bin Abi Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Before the Hour a wind will blow which will take the soul of every believer."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Here the manuscripts and al-Dhahabi's "al-Talkhis" have "Nafi' from Ibn 'Umar", which is an error. The printed edition has "Nafi' the mawla of Ibn 'Umar", so it becomes a narration of Nafi' from 'Ayyash, and this is the "preserved" form. This hadith has already passed with the author with this same chain under number (8611), correctly, with Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) omitted.

Grading: This hadith is "sahih li-ghayrihi", although this chain is weak because of the break between Nafi' and 'Ayyash. It is a repetition of number (8611).
