Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 8681

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until the land of the Arabs (once again) becomes pastures, meadows and rivers."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but they did not record it!

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is no problem with the narrators of this chain except "Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Awramah", for he is not known (majhul), as was explained under hadith number (8499); but he is not alone in this narration (i.e. he is supported).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: For Imam Ahmad (14/8833) narrated it by way of Isma'il bin Zakariyya; and Imam Ahmad also (15/9395), as well as Imam Muslim (1012) (60) and Ibn Hibban (6700), narrated it by way of Ya'qub bin 'Abd al-Rahman al-Qari. Both of them (Isma'il and Ya'qub) narrate it from Suhayl bin Abi Salih with this same chain.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): So Imam al-Hakim's treating it as an addition is an oversight on his part.
Note / Clarification: "المروج" means: wide lands with fields and abundant vegetation.
