Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give glad tidings of complete light on the Day of Resurrection to those who frequently walk to the mosques in the darkness."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Technical note: (1) The manuscripts have "Ishaq bin Ibrahim", which is wrong; the correct name is "Ibrahim bin Muhammad" (al-Bayhaqi 3/63). This is Abu Ishaq Ibrahim bin Muhammad al-Naysaburi al-Muzakki, the shaykh and muhaddith of his city; Imam al-Hakim narrated dozens of hadiths from him.
Grading: (2) Its chain is "hasan". Technical note: Abu Ghassan refers to Muhammad bin Mutarrif, and Abu Hazim refers to Salamah bin Dinar al-A'raj. Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (780) narrated it from Ibrahim bin Muhammad al-Halabi al-Basri, with this same chain. Grading: It is "hasan" because of the previous narration, but this chain is da'if because Sulayman bin Muslim is majhul (unknown). Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (781) narrated it by the chain of Majza'ah bin Sufyan from Sulayman bin Dawud al-Sa'igh (Sulayman bin Musa). Majza'ah is also of unknown status (majhul al-hal), but he has been corroborated.
