أخبرنا محمد بن علي بن عبد الحميد الصَّنعاني، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، أخبرنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا معمر، عن أيوب، عن نافع، عن عياش بن أبي ربيعة قال: سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: "تَجيءُ رِيحٌ بين يَدَي الساعة يُقبَضُ فيها روحُ كلّ مؤمن" (1). إن كان نافع سمع من عيّاشٍ المخزومي، فإنه صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ayyash bin Abi Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Before the Hour a wind will blow in which the soul of every believer will be taken."
If Nafi's hearing from Ayyash al-Makhzumi is established, then this hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but neither of them recorded it.

(1) صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد - على ثقة رواته في الجملة - فيه انقطاع بين نافع - وهو مولى ابن عمر - وبين عياش بن أبي ربيعة. وسيأتي مكرَّرًا برقم (8712).
Grading: It is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and in this chain - despite its narrators being thiqah on the whole - there is a break between Nafi' (the client of Ibn Umar) and Ayyash bin Abi Rabi'ah. This hadith will also come again under number (8712).
وأخرجه أحمد 24/ (15463) عن عبد الرزاق، بهذا الإسناد.
Takhrij: It was narrated by Ahmad 24/ (15463) from Abd al-Razzaq with this same chain.
ويشهد له حديثا النواس بن سمعان وعبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص عند مسلم (2937) و (2940)، وغيره.
Supporting reports: Among its supporting reports are the hadiths of al-Nawwas bin Sam'an and Abd Allah bin Amr bin al-As in Sahih Muslim (2937) and (2940), and elsewhere.
