أخبرنا أحمد بن سلمان الفقيه ببغداد، حدثنا الحسن بن مُكرَم، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله المسعودي، عن سعيد بن أبي بردة، عن أبيه، عن أبي موسى قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "أمتي أمةٌ مرحومةٌ، لا عذابَ عليها في الآخرة، جَعَلَ الله عذابها في الدنيا القتلَ والزلازلَ والفتنَ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This Ummah of mine is an Ummah that has been shown (special) mercy; there will be no punishment upon it in the Hereafter. Allah Almighty has placed its punishment in this world, in the form of killing, earthquakes and tribulations."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Grading: This hadith is weak because of its inconsistency (idtirab), as explained earlier under number (157).
وأخرجه أحمد 32/ (19678) عن يزيد بن هارون بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ahmad 32/ (19678) from Yazid bin Harun with this same chain.
وأخرجه أحمد أيضًا (19678) عن هاشم بن القاسم، وأبو داود (4278) من طريق كثير بن هشام، كلاهما عن المسعودي، به.
Reference / Source: Ahmad also narrated it (19678) from Hashim bin al-Qasim, and Abu Dawud (4278) via Kathir bin Hisham, both of them from al-Mas'udi, in the same way.
