حدثنا أبو النَّضْر محمد بن (4) محمد بن يوسف الفقيه، حدثنا عثمان بن سعيد الدارِمي، حدثنا علي بن المَدِيني، حدثنا مروان بن معاوية، حدثنا أبو مالك الأشجَعي، عن ربعي بن حِرَاش عن حُذيفة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إِنَّ الله يَصنَعُ (5) كلَّ صانعٍ وصَنْعتَه" (6). It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty makes every maker and what he makes."

(4) قوله: "محمد بن" لم يرد في (ب) والمطبوع، والصواب إثباته كما في (ص)، فإنَّ أبا النضر اسمه محمد وكذا اسم أبيه. Technical note / Defect ('illah): The words "Muhammad bin" are not found in manuscript (B) or the printed edition, whereas the correct thing is to include them, as in manuscript (S), because Abu al-Nadr's own name is Muhammad and his father's name is also Muhammad (Muhammad bin Muhammad).
(5) هكذا في (ص)، وفي المطبوع: "خالق". Note / Clarification: Manuscript (S) has it this way, whereas the printed edition printed it as "khaliq".
(6) إسناده صحيح. أبو مالك الأشجعي: هو سعد بن طارق. Grading: Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Malik al-Ashja'i mentioned in the chain is "Sa'd bin Tariq". وأخرجه البيهقي في "الأسماء والصفات" (825)، و"الاعتقاد" ص 144 عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد. Reference / Source: Imam al-Bayhaqi narrated it in "al-Asma' wa al-Sifat" (825) and "al-I'tiqad" (p. 144) from Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim with this chain. وأخرجه البخاري في "خلق أعمال العباد" (117)، ومن طريقه البيهقي في "الأسماء والصفات" (570)، والخطيب في "تاريخ بغداد" 2/ 353 عن علي بن عبد الله - وهو ابن المديني - به. ¤ ¤ وأخرجه البيهقي في "شعب الإيمان" (187) من طريق أبي جعفر الحذّاء، عن علي بن المديني، به. Reference / Source: Imam al-Bukhari narrated it in "Khalq Af'al al-Ibad" (117), and by his way al-Bayhaqi in "al-Asma' wa al-Sifat" (570), and al-Khatib al-Baghdadi in "Tarikh Baghdad" (2/353), by way of Ali bin Abd Allah (who is Ibn al-Madini). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Imam al-Bayhaqi also narrated it in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (187) by way of Abu Ja'far al-Hadhdha', from Ali bin al-Madini. وأخرجه ابن أبي عاصم في "السنة" (358)، والبزار (2837)، وابن منده في "التوحيد" (113)، واللالكائي في "أصول الاعتقاد" (943)، والبيهقي في "الأسماء والصفات" (37) من طرق عن مروان بن معاوية به. Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Asim (358), al-Bazzar (2837), Ibn Mandah (113), al-Lalaka'i (943) and al-Bayhaqi (37) narrated it through various routes from Marwan bin Mu'awiyah. وأخرجه المحاملي في "أماليه" (325)، واللالكائي (942) من طريق أبي خالد الأحمر، وأبو القاسم بن بشران في "أماليه" (1243) من طريق يحيى بن زكريا، كلاهما عن أبي مالك الأشجعي، به. Reference / Source: Al-Mahamili (325) and al-Lalaka'i (942) narrated it by way of Abu Khalid al-Ahmar, and Ibn Bishran (1243) by way of Yahya bin Zakariyya; both of them narrate from Abu Malik al-Ashja'i. وأخرجه البخاري في "خلق أفعال العباد" (118) من طريق الأعمش، عن شقيق أبي وائل، عن حذيفة موقوفًا. Reference / Source: Imam al-Bukhari narrated it in "Khalq Af'al al-Ibad" (118) with the chain al-A'mash, from Shaqiq Abu Wa'il, as "mawquf" on Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him).
