حَدَّثَنَا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب الشَّيباني، حَدَّثَنَا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى، حَدَّثَنَا مُسدَّد، حَدَّثَنَا يزيد بن زُرَيع، حَدَّثَنَا عبَّاد بن منصور، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "نِعمَ الدواءُ الحِجامةُ، تُذهِبُ الدمَ، وتَجلُو البصرَ، وتُخِفُّ الصُّلْبَ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Cupping (hijamah) is an excellent medicine: it removes (bad) blood, brightens the eyesight and lightens the back."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
