أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله بن دينار العَدْل، حَدَّثَنَا السَّرِي (1) ابن خُزيمة، حَدَّثَنَا أحمد بن يونس، حَدَّثَنَا حمَّاد بن سَلَمة، عن محمد بن عمرو، عن أبي سَلَمة، عن أبي هريرة: أنَّ أبا هِنْد حَجَمَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بوَجٍّ من وجعٍ كان به، وقال: "إنْ كان في شيءٍ ممّا تَداوَوْنَ به من خيرٍ، فالحِجامةُ (2). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Hind performed cupping (hijamah) on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Wajj because of a pain he had, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If there is any good in the medicines you use, it is in cupping (hijamah)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(2) صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل محمد بن عمرو: وهو ابن علقمة الليثي. Grading: It is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and this chain is "hasan" because of Muhammad bin Amr (who is Ibn Alqamah al-Laythi). وأخرجه أحمد 14/ (8513) و 15 / (9452)، وأبو داود (2102) و (3857)، وابن ماجه (3476)، وابن حبان (6078) من طرق عن حماد بن سلمة، بهذا الإسناد. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Ahmad 14/ (8513) and 15/ (9452), Abu Dawud (2102) and (3857), Ibn Majah (3476) and Ibn Hibban (6078) recorded it through various routes from Hammad bin Salamah, with this chain. وله شاهد من حديث أنس عند البخاري (5696) ومسلم (1577). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: It has a supporting report (shahid) in the hadith of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) in al-Bukhari (5696) and Muslim (1577). وآخر من حديث جابر عند البخاري أيضًا (5683) ومسلم (2205) (71). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: And another supporting report in the hadith of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), also in al-Bukhari (5683) and Muslim (2205) (71).
