It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with them both) that she said: A boil appeared on my neck, and I mentioned it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Lance it (open it); do not leave it in such a state that it begins to eat the flesh and suck the blood."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
