حَدَّثَنَا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا محمد بن أيوب، حدثني يحيى بن عبد الحميد، حَدَّثَنَا حَمّاد بن شُعيب، عن أبي الزّبير، عن جابر قال: جاءت امرأةٌ إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقالت: يا رسول الله، إن ابني هذا به العُذْرةُ، قال: "لا تُحرِقْنَ حُلوقَ أولادِكنُّ، عليكنَّ بِقُسْطٍ هِنْديٍّ وَوَرْسٍ فَأَسعِطْنَه إياه" (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! This son of mine has udhrah (a throat ailment)." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not burn the throats of your children (by pressing them). Make use of Indian aloeswood (Indian costus) and wars (a yellow plant), and give it to him as medicine through the nose."

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف يحيى وحماد، وبهما أعلّه الذهبي في "تلخيصه"، إلّا أنهما متابَعان فيما سلف عند المصنّف برقم (7645).
Grading: The hadith itself is sahih, but this chain is da'if because of the weakness of Yahya and Hammad, and for this reason al-Dhahabi declared it defective (ma'lul) in "al-Talkhis".
Important point: However, both of them are corroborated with the author (al-Hakim) at number (7645).
