أخبرني محمد بن المُؤمَّل بن الحسن، حَدَّثَنَا الفَضْل بن محمد الشَّعْراني، حَدَّثَنَا عبد الله بن محمد النُّفيلي، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن سَلَمة، عن محمد بن إسحاق، حدثني محمد بن جعفر بن الزُّبير، عن عُرْوة، عن عائشة أنها حدثته: أَنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال حين: قالوا خَشِينا أنَّ الذي برسولِ الله ذاتُ الجَنْب، قال: "إنها من الشيطان، وما كان اللهُ ليُسلِّطَه عليَّ" (1).
هذا حديث (2) على شرط مسلم، ولم يخرجاه، وقد رُويَ عن عائشة ﵂ ضدُّ هذه الرواية بإسناد واهٍ:

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, when the people said, "We fear that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has dhat al-janb (pleurisy)": "It is (an effect) from Satan, and Allah will not give it power over me."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it; and the opposite of this report has also been narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) with a weak chain.

(1) إسناده حسن من أجل محمد بن إسحاق.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan" because of Muhammad bin Ishaq.
وأخرجه أحمد 43/ (26346) من طريق إبراهيم بن سعد، عن محمد بن إسحاق، بهذا الإسناد.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Ahmad 43/ (26346) recorded it via Ibrahim bin Sa'd, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, with this chain.
وللحديث سياق آخر عند أحمد 41/ (24870) من طريق هشام بن عروة، عن عروة، عن عائشة.
Details of the narration: This hadith has another version (siyaq, sequence of wording) in Musnad Ahmad 41/ (24870) via Hisham bin Urwah, from Urwah, from A'ishah.
(2) في (ك) وحدها: هذا حديث صحيح.
Note / Clarification: Only manuscript (K) has the words: "This hadith is sahih".
Grading: Its chain is "hasan" because of Muhammad bin Ishaq.
