أخبرني عبد الرحمن بن الحسن القاضي، حَدَّثَنَا إبراهيم بن الحُسين، حَدَّثَنَا آدم بن أبي إياس، حَدَّثَنَا شعبة، عن خالد الحَذَّاء، عن ميمون أبي عبد الله، عن زيد بن أرقَمَ قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "تَدَاوَوْا من ذات الجَنْب بالقُسْطِ البَحْريّ والزَّيتِ" (4).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Treat dhat al-janb (pleurisy) with sea costus (qust bahri) and olive oil."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(4) صحيح لغيره دون ذكر الزيت، وهذا إسناد ضعيف من أجل ميمون أبي عبد الله، وعبدُ الرحمن شيخ المصنّف وإن كان فيه ضعف قد توبع فيما سلف برقم (7631).
Grading: This hadith is "sahih li-ghayrihi" (except for the mention of the oil), but this present chain is da'if because of Maymun Abu Abdullah.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The author's shaykh "Abd al-Rahman", although there is weakness in him, is corroborated at number (7631).
وذات الجَنْب: هو التهابٌ في الغشاء المحيط بالرئة.
Note / Clarification: "Dhat al-janb" (pleurisy): an inflammation of the membrane surrounding the lung.
Grading: This hadith is "sahih li-ghayrihi" (except for the mention of the oil), but this present chain is da'if because of Maymun Abu Abdullah.
