حدثني أبو أحمد محمد بن محمد الحافظ (2)، حَدَّثَنَا يحيى بن محمد بن صاعد، حَدَّثَنَا أحمد بن محمد بن أبي الخناجر بأطرابُلُسَ - وكان ثقةً مأمونًا - حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن مصعب القَرْقَساني، عن مالك بن مِغْول، عن زياد بن عِلاقة (3). ومنهم عمرو بن قيس المُلَائي:
Muhammad bin Mus'ab al-Qarqasani narrates, through Malik bin Mighwal, from Ziyad bin Ilaqah the same hadith whose text has passed under number 8406.

(2) وقع هنا في (ز) و (ب) بعد "حدثني أبو أحمد محمد بن محمد الحافظ": حَدَّثَنَا يحيى بن محمد الحافظ حَدَّثَنَا يحيى محمد بن صاعد. وقوله: "حَدَّثَنَا يحيى بن محمد الحافظ" مقحم، لأنَّ أبا أحمد - وهو الحاكم الكبير الكرابيسي الإمام المشهور صاحب "الكنى" - معروف بالرواية عن يحيى بن محمد بن صاعد، كما في مصادر ترجمته.
Note / Clarification: (2) Here manuscripts (Z) and (B) have, after "haddathani Abu Ahmad Muhammad bin Muhammad al-Hafiz": "haddathana Yahya bin Muhammad al-Hafiz haddathana Yahya Muhammad bin Sa'id". Technical note / Defect ('illah): The phrase "haddathana Yahya bin Muhammad al-Hafiz" in it is an interpolation (muqham), because Abu Ahmad, who is al-Hakim al-Kabir al-Karabisi, the famous imam and author of "al-Kuna", is known for narrating from Yahya bin Muhammad bin Sa'id, as in the sources for his biography.
(3) إسناده محتمل للتحسين من أجل محمد بن مصعب القرقساني.
Grading: (3) This chain can possibly be graded hasan (tahsin), because of Muhammad bin Mus'ab al-Qarqasani.
