It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever meets Allah Almighty in the state that he has not associated anyone with Allah, and has not stained his hands by unjustly shedding anyone's blood, may enter Paradise by whichever of its gates he wishes."

Grading: Hasan li-ghayrihi (hasan due to other supporting reports). Technical note: This chain is "weak" because al-Husayn bin Abi Ma'shar is a weak narrator, but he has been corroborated. Moreover, Abd al-Rahman bin A'idh in fact narrates from Uqbah bin Amir through an intermediary man (not directly), as stated in Imam al-Bukhari's "al-Tarikh al-Kabir" (5/324) and in Ibn Abi Hatim's "al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil" (5/270), quoting his father. Reference / Source: Ahmad (28/17381) narrated it from Waki', and Ibn Majah (2618) from Muhammad bin Abd Allah bin Numayr, both of them from Waki', with this same chain. Reference / Source: Ahmad (28/17339) narrated it from Yazid bin Harun, from Isma'il bin Abi Khalid, with this same chain. Supporting reports: On this topic there is a narration from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) in al-Tabarani (11192); its chain includes Ibn Lahi'ah, and it is "hasan" in corroborations and supporting reports. 11/ (6586). Other places: On the topic of "entry into Paradise for the one who meets Allah without associating anything with Him" there are narrations from a group of Companions; see their hadiths in "Musnad Ahmad" (11/6586).
