Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is "hasan" in corroborations and supporting reports because of Abu Salih (Abdullah bin Salih al-Misri, the scribe of al-Layth), and he has been corroborated.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Muhammad bin Isma'il is Ibn Yusuf al-Sulami, and Mu'awiyah bin Salih is Ibn Hudayr al-Himsi.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (22/ 17471), al-Tirmidhi (2336), al-Nasa'i (11795) and Ibn Hibban (3223) recorded it via al-Layth bin Sa'd, from Mu'awiyah bin Salih, with this same chain.
