حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا بكَّار بن قُتيبة، حدثنا أبو داود حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن دينار، عن زيد بن أسلم، عن عطاء بن يَسَار، عن أبي واقد اللَّيثي، عن النبيِّ ﷺ قال: "ما قُطِعَ من البَهيمةِ وهي حَيَّةٌ، فهو مَيْتٌ" (1). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط البخاري، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Waqid al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever part (of flesh and the like) is cut from a living animal while it is alive is carrion (in its ruling)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari, and the two Shaykhs did not record it.
