Umm Kurz and Abu Kurz narrate that a woman from the family of Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr vowed that if Abd al-Rahman's wife gave birth, "we will slaughter a camel." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "No, rather acting upon the Sunnah is better, (and it is that) for a boy, two equal sheep, and for a girl, one sheep (should be slaughtered). It should be cut at the joints and none of its bones should be broken. Then (the meat) should be eaten, given to others to eat, and given in charity. This ('aqiqah) should be on the seventh day; if it cannot be done (on that day), then on the fourteenth day; and if (even then) it cannot be done, then on the twenty-first day."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, and they (the two Shaykhs) did not record it.

No matching content found Note / Clarification: The relevant material could not be found here. No matching content found Technical note / Defect ('illah): (Explanation of the word mukafa'ah): If a goat is equal to its companion goat, it is said that it has been matched, so it is called "mukafi'ah" (the one that matches) and "mukafa'ah" (the one that is matched). General principle: (Second meaning of mukafa'atan): It refers to two goats that are equal to each other in terms of the age (asnan) required in zakah and in the sacrifice (al-udhiyah). Technical note / Defect ('illah): With the fathah (on the word), there is also the possibility that it means two goats slaughtered together, as it is said in Arabic "kafa'a al-rajulu bayna ba'irayn", that is, when a man slaughters two camels together without an interval; as if it means two goats that are slaughtered at the same time. Note / Clarification: (Linguistic clarification): The word "judulan" mentioned in the hadith is the plural of "jadl" or "jidl", which means "a limb" (a part or piece of the body).
