It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the 'aqiqah for Hasan and Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) on the seventh day and gave them their names, and he ordered that the harmful thing (the hair) be removed from their heads.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs did not record it with this wording.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is "sahih li-ghayrihi"; its narrators are thiqah except Muhammad bin 'Amr al-Yafi'i, who has corroboration (mutaba'ah). Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ibn Jurayj is well known for tadlis, and here he narrated with "'an'anah" (narrating with "from"). Imam al-Daraqutni concluded in "al-'Ilal" (3911) that Ibn Jurayj did not hear it directly from Yahya bin Sa'id (al-Ansari), because in some routes these words of Ibn Jurayj are narrated: "I was told from Yahya." "'Amrah" in the chain is 'Amrah bint 'Abd al-Rahman bin Sa'd bin Zurarah. Reference / Source: Imam al-Bayhaqi narrated it in 9/ 299 via Abu 'Abd Allah al-Hakim, with this same chain. Reference / Source: Imam al-Tahawi narrated it in "Sharh Mushkil al-Athar" (1051), Imam Ibn Hibban in (5311) and Imam al-Bayhaqi in 9/ 299 by various routes from 'Abd Allah bin Wahb, with this same chain. Reference / Source: Imam Abu Ya'la (4521) and Imam al-Bayhaqi 9/ 303-304 narrated it by way of 'Abd al-Majid bin Abi Rawwad and Abu Musa bin Tariq; both of them report it from Ibn Jurayj in detail. Reference / Source: Imam Ibn Abi al-Dunya reported it in "al-'Iyal" (43) and al-Dulabi in "al-Dhurriyyah al-Tahirah" (148) by way of Hisham bin Sulayman, from Ibn Jurayj, in which he said: "I was told on the authority of Yahya bin Sa'id." Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the narration of Ibn Abi al-Dunya the words are "from Yahya", but according to Imam al-Daraqutni the narration of Hisham bin Sulayman from Ibn Jurayj has the words "huddithtu 'an Yahya" (I was told from Yahya), and the same is the case in the narration of Rawh bin 'Ubadah. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: It is supported by the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), narrated by Imam Abu Dawud (2841) and al-Nasa'i (4531), and its chain is sahih. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Likewise, the hadith of Buraydah bin al-Husayb (may Allah be pleased with him), which is in Imam Ahmad 38/ (23001) and al-Nasa'i (4524), is a supporting report (shahid) for it.
