It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best days for you to have cupping done are the seventeenth, the nineteenth and the twenty-first (of the month)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Important point: Manuscripts (S) and (M) have the words "the seventeenth day and the nineteenth day".

Grading: This chain is da'if because of Abbad bin Mansur, since he is weak and a mudallis, and al-Bazzar negated his having heard from Ikrimah.
Reference / Source: Ahmad 5/ (3316) and al-Tirmidhi (2053) recorded it through two routes from Abbad bin Mansur, with this same chain.
Details of the narration: This narration will come again at number (8459) by way of Abbad bin Mansur.
Reference / Source: Al-Bazzar (4916, 4917), al-Tabari (1/ 516) and al-Tabarani (11076) recorded it by way of Layth bin Abi Sulaym, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas, as marfu': "Have cupping done on the fifteenth, seventeenth, nineteenth or twenty-first, so that the blood does not surge in you and kill you."
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Layth bin Abi Sulaym's memory was not sound.
