It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has cupping done on the seventeenth of the month, it will be a cure for him from every disease."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith Grading
Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak) because of Sa'id bin Abd al-Rahman al-Jumahi.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, in "Fath al-Bari" 17/ 449, declared it weak along with other hadiths about the timing of cupping. However, this is established from the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as will come shortly in the hadith of Anas.
General principle: Al-Uqayli says in "al-Du'afa'" 1/ 338 that nothing (no hadith) is established regarding choosing (particular days) for cupping or its being disliked.
Reference / Source: Abu Dawud recorded it (3861) by way of Abu Tawbah al-Rabi' bin Nafi', with this same chain, and added in it the "nineteenth and twenty-first" days.
