It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The cure for 'irq al-nasa (sciatica) lies in the fat tail of an Arab sheep, which is melted, then divided into three parts, and one part is drunk daily for three days."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
(3191). Grading: Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): However, there is disagreement in it over Anas bin Sirin, as we explained earlier at number (3191). Reference / Source: Ibn Majah recorded it (3463) by way of Hisham bin Ammar and Rashid bin Sa'id al-Ramli, both of them from al-Walid bin Muslim, with this same chain.
