Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 764

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Muslims would not know that a surah was complete until "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" was revealed; when it was revealed, they would know that the surah had been completed.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
