حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن حَمْدان الجَلَّاب بهمذان، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم (1) الخزَّاز، حدثنا إسحاق بن سليمان، حدثنا صالح بن [أبيٍ] (2) الأخضر، عن الزُّهْري، عن عُرْوة، عن حَكيم بن حِزام، قال: قلتُ: يا رسولَ الله، أرأيتَ أدويةً نتداوى بها، ورُقًى نَسترقي بها، أتردُّ من قَدَر الله؟ قال: "إنها من قَدَرِ الله" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد رواه يونس بن يزيد وعمرو بن الحارث بإسناد آخر، وهو المحفوظ:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, what is your view regarding the medicines with which we treat ourselves, and the incantations (ruqyah) by which we seek healing: do they avert anything of the decree of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They (themselves) are part of the decree of Allah."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. However, Yunus bin Yazid and Amr bin al-Harith narrated it with another chain, and that is the preserved (mahfuz) version.

Grading: This hadith is "hasan li-ghayrihi" (hasan due to supporting reports), but this chain is da'if (weak) because of the weakness of Salih bin Abi al-Akhdar. This narration has already appeared by this same route under number (88).
