حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا بَحْر بن نصر بن سابق الخَوْلاني، حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب، أخبرني عبد الله بن عمر، عن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم، عن أبيه، عن عائشة أنها قالت: رأيتُ رجلًا يوم الخندق على صورة دِحْية ابن خَليفة الكَلْبي على دابَّةٍ يُناجي رسولَ الله ﷺ، وعلى رأسه عِمامةٌ قد أسدَلَها عليه، فسألت رسولَ الله ﷺ قال: "فإنَّ ذلك جبريلُ ﵇ أمَرَني أن أَخرجَ إلى بني قُريَظةَ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: On the day of (the Battle of) the Trench, I saw a man in the likeness of Dihyah bin Khalifah al-Kalbi, riding a mount and speaking privately with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). On his head was a turban, one end of which he had let hang down over his face or shoulders. I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That was Jibril (peace be upon him); he has commanded me to march out against Banu Qurayzah."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن في المتابعات والشواهد من أجل عبد الله بن عمر: وهو ابن حفص العُمري، عبد الرحمن بن القاسم: هو ابن محمد بن أبي بكر الصديق.
Grading: (1) The hadith is sahih, and this chain is "hasan" in corroborations and supporting reports because of Abd Allah bin Umar (who is Ibn Hafs al-Umari).
Identification of the narrator: Abd al-Rahman bin al-Qasim is Ibn Muhammad bin Abi Bakr al-Siddiq (i.e. the son of al-Qasim bin Muhammad bin Abi Bakr al-Siddiq).
وأخرجه البيهقي في "شعب الإيمان" (5846) من طريق أبي العباس محمد بن يعقوب الأصم، بهذا الإسناد.

وأخرجه الآجري في "الشريعة" (988) من طريق الوليد بن شجاع، عن عبد الله بن وهب به.
