Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7584

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was wearing a garment dyed with safflower ('usfur). He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Where did you get this from?" He said: My wife made it for me. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Burn it."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
