Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7562

أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن علي الصنعاني بمكة، حَدَّثَنَا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، أخبرنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا مَعمَر، عن أيوب، عن أبي قِلابة، عن أبي المهلَّب، عن سَمُرةَ بن جُندُب قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "عليكم بهذا الثِّيابِ (1) البَيَاض، فلْيَلبَسْه أحياؤُكم، وكَفِّنوا فيه موتاكم، فإنه من خيرِ ثيابِكم"، أو قال: "من خيرِ لِباسِكم" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه، لأنَّ سفيان بن عُيَينة وإسماعيل ابن عُليَّة أرسلاه عن أيوب. وأما حديث ابن عُيينة:
[التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] ترقيم العلميه 7375 - على شرط البخاري
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه، لأنَّ سفيان بن عُيَينة وإسماعيل ابن عُليَّة أرسلاه عن أيوب. وأما حديث ابن عُيينة:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hold fast to these white garments. Let your living wear them, and shroud your dead in them, for they are among the best of your garments."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it, because Sufyan bin Uyaynah and Isma'il Ibn Ulayyah narrated it from Ayyub in mursal form.

(1) كذا في النسخ الخطية، وفي "مصنف عبد الرزاق" وعنه أحمد: "بهذا البياض".
Note / Clarification: (1) This is how it is in the manuscripts, whereas in "Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq", and from him in Imam Ahmad, the words are: "بهذا البياض" (with this whiteness).
(2) إسناده صحيح. أيوب: هو ابن أبي تميمة السَّختياني، وأبو قلابة: هو عبد الله بن زيد الجَرْمي، وأبو المهلب: هو الجرمي عم أبي قلابة، اختُلف في اسمه على عدة أقوال.
Grading: (2) Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ayyub is "Ibn Abi Tamimah al-Sakhtiyani", Abu Qilabah is "Abd Allah bin Zayd al-Jarmi", and Abu al-Muhallab is "al-Jarmi", the paternal uncle of Abu Qilabah; there are several different views about his name.
وأخرجه أحمد 33/ (20235) عن عبد الرزاق، بهذا الإسناد.

وأخرجه أحمد (20235)، والنسائي (2034) و (9567) من طريق سعيد بن أبي عروبة، عن أيوب السختياني، به.

وسلف برقم (1325) من طريق ميمون بن أبي شبيب عن سمرة، وسيأتي من الطريق ذاته برقم (7566).
