حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الربيع بن سليمان، حدثنا عبد الله (2) بن وهب، أخبرني سليمان بن بلال، عن محمد بن عبد الله بن أبي حُرَّة، عن حَكيم بن أبي حُرَّة (3)، عن سلمان الأغرّ، عن أبي هريرة قال: ولا أعلمه إلَّا عن النبي ﷺ قال: "إنَّ للطاعم الشاكرِ من الأجر مثلَ ما للصائمِ الصابر" (4).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him); the narrator says: I consider it to be narrated only from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the one who eats and is grateful has a reward like that of the patient one who is fasting."

(4) حديث حسن، وهذا الإسناد اختلف فيه على محمد بن عبد الله بن أبي حرّة، فرواه عنه سليمان بن بلال كما في رواية المصنِّف فجعله من حديث أبي هريرة، ورواه عبد العزيز بن محمد الدراوردي عنه عن محمد بن أبي حرة عن حكيم بن أبي حرة عن سنان بن سنّة، وسئل أبو زرعة عنهما - كما في "العلل" (1513) - فقال: حديث الدراوردي أشبه.
Grading: This hadith is hasan.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is disagreement over its chain from Muhammad bin 'Abd Allah bin Abi Hurrah: Sulayman bin Bilal narrated it, as in the author's narration, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), whereas 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Darawardi narrated it through the route of Muhammad bin Abi Hurrah, from Hakim bin Abi Hurrah, from Sinan bin Sannah. When Abu Zur'ah was asked about the two (routes) ("al-'Ilal" 1513), he said that the narration of al-Darawardi is closer to being correct.
وأخرجه أحمد (13 / (7889) عن عبيد الله بن أبي قرة عن سليمان بن بلال، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated it in (13/ 7889) through the route of 'Ubayd Allah bin Abi Qurrah, from Sulayman bin Bilal, with this same chain.
وأما طريق الدراوردي التي جعلها من حديث سنان بن سنّة، فأخرجها أحمد وابنه عبد الله في زوائده على "المسند" 31 (19014)، وابن ماجه (1765) من طريقين عن عبد العزيز بن محمد الدراوردي بالإسناد المذكور، وانظر تتمة تخريجه هناك.
Reference / Source: As for the route of al-Darawardi (in which it is made a hadith of Sinan bin Sannah), Ahmad and his son 'Abd Allah narrated it in the additions (zawa'id) to the "Musnad" (31/ 19014), and Ibn Majah in (1765), through two different routes from 'Abd al-'Aziz bin Muhammad al-Darawardi. Its further takhrij can be seen there.
