Grading: Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): "Isra'il" in the chain is Isra'il bin Yunus bin 'Amr bin 'Abd Allah al-Sabi'i, and "Abu Ishaq" is his grandfather, while "Abu Maysarah" is 'Amr bin Shurahbil al-Hamdani al-Kufi. Details of the narration: The author's narration is abridged, whereas al-Bayhaqi quoted it in full in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (3086) through the route of 'Abd Allah bin Raja', from Isra'il. Its meaning is that 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) had a goat which was about to die, so it was slaughtered and distributed. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "O 'A'ishah, what happened to the goat?" She said: "It was distributed; only a foreleg (shoulder) remains." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of it has become yours (a treasure for the Hereafter) except the shoulder." Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated it in (40/ 24240) and al-Tirmidhi in (2470) in abridged form through the route of Sufyan al-Thawri, from Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i, and al-Tirmidhi declared it sahih.
