Khalid bin Ma'dan relates: I attended a wedding feast (walimah) at the house of Abd al-A'la, and Sayyiduna Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) was with us. When we had finished eating, he stood up and said: "I do not wish to be a preacher, but I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying, when he finished eating: 'Al-hamdu lillahi kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fihi, ghayra muwadda'in wa la mustaghnan 'anhu' (All praise is for Allah, praise that is abundant, pure and blessed, which is never abandoned and which one can never do without)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs did not record it, and its supporting narration (shahid) exists with narrators who are more authentic and better known than those of this one.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is "sahih", and its chain is "jayyid" (good). Note / Clarification: 'Amir is 'Amir bin Jashib. Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated it in 36/ (22256) through the route of 'Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi, and al-Nasa'i (6869) and Ibn Hibban (5217) through the route of Ibn Wahb ('Abd Allah bin Wahb); both of them narrate it from Mu'awiyah bin Salih, with this same chain. Reference / Source: Ahmad (22301) and al-Nasa'i (6868, 10042) narrated it through the route of al-Sari bin Yan'um, from 'Amir bin Jashib, with this same chain. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ibn Hibban (5218) narrated it through the route of 'Uthman bin Abi Shaybah, in which the link between Mu'awiyah and Khalid is given as "Bahir bin Sa'd" instead of 'Amir bin Jashib. Grading: This narration is "shadh", although Ibn Hibban claims that both routes are preserved. Note / Clarification: An error occurred in the takhrij of "Sahih Ibn Hibban", where it was attributed through this same route to Ahmad and al-Hakim; this needs to be corrected.
