أخبرني أبو عبد الله محمد بن علي الصَّنعاني بمكة، حدثنا علي بن المبارك الصَّنعاني، حدثنا زيد (2) بن المبارك الصَّنعاني، حدثنا محمد بن سليمان بن مَسمُول، حدثنا القاسم بن مُخوَّل البَهْزي (3)، سمع أباه يقول: قلتُ: يا رسولَ الله، الإبلُ نَلْقاها وبها اللبنُ وهي مُصَرّاة، ونحن محتاجون، فقال: "نادِ صاحبَ الإبل ثلاثًا، فإن جاءَ وإلا فاحلُبْ واحتلبْ وَاحْلُلْ، ثم صُرَّ وبَقِّ اللبنَ لدَواعِيهِ" (4).

Al-Qasim bin Mukhawwal al-Bahzi narrates from his father that he said: O Messenger of Allah! We come across camels (on the way) whose udders are tied (to hold back the milk) and are full of milk (musarrah), while we are in need (so what should we do)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Call the owner of the camels three times; if he comes, (well and good,) otherwise milk it and drink, and untie the knot (of the udders); then (after drinking) tie it again and leave some milk in the udders (for the young, or so that it may gather again)."

Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this name has been corrupted into "Yazid".
(3) تحرَّف في النسخ الخطية إلى: النهدي، وجاء على الصواب في "تلخيص الذهبي" ومصادر التخريج.
Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this word has been corrupted into "al-Nahdi", while in "Talkhis al-Dhahabi" and the other sources of takhrij it appears correctly.
(4) إسناده ضعيف، محمد بن سليمان بن مسمول ضعيف والقاسم بن مخول البهزي مجهول تفرَّد بالرواية عنه ابن مسمول، ومع ذلك أودعه ابن حبان "ثقاته" 5/ 306.
Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Muhammad bin Sulayman bin Masmul is a weak narrator, and al-Qasim bin Mukhawwal al-Bahzi is "majhul" (unknown), from whom only Ibn Masmul narrates. Despite that, Ibn Hibban mentioned him in his book "al-Thiqat" 5/ 306.
وأخرجه مجموعًا إلى الحديث الآتي برقم (7463): أبو يعلى (1568)، وابن حبان (5882)، والطبراني في "الكبير" (20/ (763)، وأبو نعيم في "معرفة الصحابة" (6318) من طرق عن محمد بن سليمان بن مسمول بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Abu Ya'la (1568), Ibn Hibban (5882), al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" (20/ 763) and Abu Nu'aym in "Ma'rifat al-Sahabah" (6318) narrated this report (combined with the upcoming hadith no. 7463) through various routes from Muhammad bin Sulayman bin Masmul, with this same chain.
