It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never ate two full meals in one day unless one of those two meals was dates.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Note / Clarification: Mis'ar is Ibn Kidam, and Hilal al-Wazzan is Ibn Abi Humayd.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Bukhari narrated it (6455) from Ishaq bin Ibrahim, from Ishaq al-Azraq, with this same chain.
Reference / Source: Imam Muslim narrated it (2970) by way of Waki', from Mis'ar, with the wording: "The family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) never ate their fill of wheat bread for two days in a row, except that one of the two days was dates."
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Imam al-Hakim's including this narration as a supplement (istidrak) is an oversight on his part (because it is already in al-Bukhari and Muslim).
