Hakim bin Mu'awiyah narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will reach the number of seventy nations; you are the most honored of them and the most excellent of them in the sight of Allah, Mighty and Majestic."

Grading: This hadith is "hasan". Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is no problem with the narrators of both chains except Muhammad bin Maslamah (Ibn al-Walid al-Wasiti), who is weak, but he has been corroborated. Although Yazid bin Harun narrated from Sa'id bin Iyas al-Jurayri after his memory deteriorated (ikhtilat), Hammad bin Salamah, who heard from him before his deterioration, corroborated him. Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ahmad 33/ (20015, 20025) with the chain Hammad bin Salamah, from Sa'id al-Jurayri, with this chain. Details of the narration: The second narration has this addition: "Between two of the door-leaves of Paradise is a distance of forty years' travel, and a day will come when it will be packed full (with crowds)."
