Then I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Were it not for the (virtue of) emigration, I would have liked to be one of the Ansar. And if the Ansar were to travel through a valley or a mountain pass, I would take the mountain pass of the Ansar."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs did not record it with this wording.

Reference / Source: Thus he (the author) said; yet al-Bukhari narrated it, like the narration of Ubayy bin Ka'b, from Abu Hurayrah as well (3779, 7244): "If the Ansar were to travel through a valley or a mountain pass, I would travel through the valley of the Ansar; and were it not for the Hijrah, I would have been one of the Ansar." Reference / Source: This narration from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) is in al-Bukhari (4333) and Muslim (1059) with these words: "If the people were to travel through a valley and the Ansar took a mountain pass, I would choose the pass of the Ansar." A story is also attached to it. Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari (4330, 7245) and Muslim (1061) also narrated it from Abdullah bin Zayd bin Asim, and the same story is mentioned in it too.
