It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man of Quraysh has as much strength as two men who are not of Quraysh." Imam al-Zuhri says that this refers to their understanding, insight and soundness of judgment.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "sahih".
Important point: Ibn Abi Dhi'b is "Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin al-Mughirah".
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ahmad 27/ (16742, 16766) from Yazid bin Harun, and by Ibn Hibban (6265) by way of Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Yunus; both of them (Yazid and Ahmad) narrate it from Ibn Abi Dhi'b with this chain.
Note / Clarification: Al-Sindi said in his commentary on "Musnad Ahmad": the word "nubl" (with dammah on the nun) means "intelligence and nobility". It is also possible that it is "nabl" (with fathah on the nun), meaning "arrows", i.e. the arrows of a Qurashi's opinion hit the mark twice as often as those of others. The intended meaning is that his opinion has fewer errors, and it is probably for this reason that they were singled out for the "Supreme Imamate" (the caliphate).
General principle: Al-Tahawi said in "Sharh Mushkil al-Athar" 8/ 153 - 154: We reflected on this, and its meaning in our view (and Allah knows best) is that this merit belongs to "the Qurashi who possesses sound opinion", not to every Qurashi who is not among the people of sound opinion, even though he is a Qurashi. The rule is that when a quality is described of a man from a people of large number, it is permissible to attribute that quality to the whole people, even though only particular individuals among them are intended.
